Undeclared bank accounts of the incumbent government Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) have surfaced as its financial documents were scrutinized for the second day on Tuesday. The perusal process is scheduled to end today as the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had allowed only 40 hours for the investigation of PTI accounts by two financial analysts nominated by petitioner Akbar S. Babar in the foreign funding case.

The Context: In a committee meeting conducted on May 7, the petitioner Akbar S Babar had filed an application before the ECP to allow for the perusal of original documents instead of photocopies and ensure that all documents are presented before the financial analysts for review. The application also demanded that all bank statements requisitioned by the State Bank of Pakistan must be allowed to be perused as banking transactions have revealed the existence of bank accounts concealed from investigative processes. The Response : People have taken to social media to respond to the news of the emergence of these accounts. Special Correspondent to The News/Jang Group Islamabad, Tariq Butt has tweeted:

Others also expressed their disgruntlement.
Like his knowledge on #Xinjiang, @ImranKhanPTI will claim he has never heard of them. His sudden memory losses on issues where he is scared to speak are globally known. Just wait for his comments
