What happened: The National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) Chief Asad Umar said on Friday that the Federal government will be setting up large vaccination centres in the Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir regions. According to Umar, this is an imperative step to speed up the vaccination process with the upcoming elections and tourism season.

The bigger picture: The NCOC chief urged people to actively participate in the countries Covid-19 vaccine drive because ‘the quicker the people get vaccinated, the quicker the restrictions will ease.”However, there is still some mismanagement and an information block in administering the Covid-19 vaccine in the FATA orthern areas.
Please look into the data entry issues. The outreach, mobile and mass vaccination are not following NCOC SOPs for vaccine, giving "katcha card" and are increasingly not found in NIMS even after a week. Crowded waiting areas no distancing, mask compliance low. Just jabbing away.
