More than 1000 anti-Muslim attacks reported in Austria alone during 2021 

What happened:  In the latest report by an international publication stated,  “69% of women were the victims in nearly 1061 racist incidents that Austria reported.”  In the report on  Anti-Muslim Racism  released by the Austrian Documentation and Counselling Center for Muslims, the attacks majorly took place online as Covid restrictions barred physical attraction.  Details:  The international publication quotes,  “69% of those exposed to anti-Muslim racism, verbal and physical attacks, were women and 26% were men.”  It was also highlighted that the women wearing headscarves were subjected to physical assaults, and 65.4% of the attacks against Muslims were via online platforms.  More:  Whereas, it was revealed that during the racist attacks, 77% were carried out by men, and 22% by women, as the hate speech online was noted at 78.5%.
