What happened: After a two-year hiatus, the Lahore Police Department has restored a horse-mounted patrolling squad to the city. Details: Rangers have also joined the patrolling team and will jointly monitor the streets, on a weekly basis on a horseback. The horse-mounted squad’s patrolling tradition came to an end in 2019. It was due to the Lahore police demolishing the stables. They also relocated the horses to other districts. The horses have been summoned from PC Farooqabad, and the team has returned to the provincial capital. On Thursday, Rangers and eight young police officers were observed roaming the city’s main highways.
