What happened: Prime Minister Imran Khan stated on Jan 26 that he has already delivered on his pre-election goal of eradicating corruption in the country within 90 days of taking office. Details: PM Khan added that no financial corruption issues have surfaced during the existing government’s tenure, however scandals such as the Panama Papers had surfaced during the previous government’s control. “The commitment to abolish corruption in 90 days has already been fulfilled,” a party spokesperson who did not want to be identified quoted the premiere.
