Rare wild goats population rise in Sindh due to a ban on hunting 

What happened: The wild goat, which is considered to be rare in Sindh, is now rising in numbers as Pakistan’s Sindh province announced a ban on hunting in the province. Once, the rare wild goats were considered endangered all over Pakistan, and the Sindh ibex and Turkman wild goats have now seen a rise in numbers, as the local communities are now protecting them. Details: Despite it being found in southwest Pakistan, it is also found in Iran; however, it is viewed as an endangered animal. Whereas, it is pertinent to mention that during the past four decades in Pakistan, the population of wild goats has shot up from 2000 to 20,000. More:   Express Tribune quoted the development as,  “A small city in southern Sindh province, located some 156 kilometers from the provincial capital and the country’s largest city Karachi, a narrow metaled road leads to the Kirthar National Park, home to scores of rare species, and Sindh ibex’s largest habitat.”
