India’s first female comic-book superhero Priya, who has previously appeared in campaigns against sex trafficking and molesters, has now joined hands with her Pakistani counterpart Jiya, commonly referred to as the “Burka Avenger”, in order to fight the misinformation about the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Both the superheroes will now work together to create more awareness among the people about reducing the risk of infection. Both the heroes will collaborate to prevent an infodemic, while simultaneously developing a sense of humanity, sympathy and concern among the citizens of both countries for frontline healthcare workers.
In the story, Priya, after befriending a little girl named Meena, shows her the sacrifices made by frontline workers to combat Covid-19, and how important it is to follow the guidelines provided by them.
The creators said that while developing ” Priya’s Mask “, they could highly relate to the ongoing sense of fear and anxiety during the pandemic.
