MPA’s security guard shot a Foodpanda rider

What happened: A security guard of MPA Khawaja Izharul Hassan (MQM) shot Foodpanda rider, Nadeem, for ringing Hassan’s doorbell in Karachi’s Defense. The rider was there to deliver food that the politician’s family had ordered through the Foodpanda app. Details : Nadeem had refused to hand over the food parcel to the guard and rung the bell again when the guard opened fire at him. The suspect then proceeded to run away, and is still on the run from the police. Nadeem was shot in the knee and is currently being treated at a private hospital under Hassan’s personal supervision. The politician has also promised to take care of Nadeem’s salary and medication till he is well. MPA Hassan expresses regret at the incident. He says that the shooting was a result of personal bitterness between the guard and the delivery boy.
