Here’s why people are calling Rhythm Festival, ‘The Paki AstroWorld’

What happened: The much awaited, Rhythm Festival in Lahore that took place at Royal Palm, near Mughulpura on canal road diappointed its attendees last night as the music festival was a disaster. People got injured, girls got harassed, and the crowd was out of control.

Details : They event started at 5pm and ended around midnight. It was reported that the organizers oversold the tickets. As they were on sale around everywhere in Lahore, the ticket was for only Rs1500. They also weren’t being checked and CNICs weren’t verified. People kept entering and the venue became overcrowded. Reportedly the gates were shut by the bouncers because people were trying to break in without tickets but the ones with who had them didn’t get to enter too. Eventually they all broke through the gate, pushing the guards and injuring several people. According to sources, there were at least 15,000k+ people present at the venue. Bouncers and guards couldn’t look over everyone due to the huge crowd as a result girls were harassed and pushed around too.

What else: The traffic at Maal Road got worse as people gathered around for the festival. Cars were jam-packed and ambulances got stuck as well. Reportedly, an attendee parked his car at Cantt Road and walked all way to the festival. Besides this, an old couple was left stranded in the traffic because they ran out of petrol amid the chaos.
