Instagram has rolled out a new feature that lets users coordinate meetups with friends and family through direct messages.
Now, users can pin a location in their chats to establish a meeting point and share estimated arrival times. Additionally, the platform offers a live location sharing option, allowing users to track each other’s whereabouts in real time.
This live location feature is private, available only in 1:1 or group chats, and is turned off by default. It can be shared for up to an hour and can be stopped at any time.
