What happened: On February 1, Assistant Sub Inspector Waqas Ahmed was quoted by Dawn as, “The woman had introduced herself as a medical officer stationed at PNS Karzaz Karachi.” However, she was taken into custody after not providing the service card. Dawn further quotes the investigation officer, Waqas Ahmed, “the woman wore the uniform of a naval officer and asked her father to pick her up from the naval headquarters.”
Details: Subsequently, she was apprehended by the security personnel deployed at the gate after failing to produce a security card and being shifted to the Margalla Police Station. At the same time, Dawn’s report quoted the development as, “The woman pretending to be a naval officer was originally from Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and had been living in a hostel in Islamabad.”
More: Whereas, the impersonator had also told her family that she was in the navy and was working for them. On the other hand, Islamabad police disclosed that she was employed elsewhere, but the woman had appeared for ISSB though she did not qualify. Dawn quoted, “She told her family that she had passed the test and had joined the navy, and had been regularly sending money to her family.”
