Wife allegedly gang-raped by relatives for dowry in India 

What happened: Different publications reported that an Indian woman filed a case of rape in which her husband and two relatives were involved. The alleged incident of gang rape took place in India’s Rajasthan area, where a wife was raped by her relatives after her family  “failed”  to pay him a dowry of 1.5 lakh rupees.  Details: An international publication quotes,  “The accused allegedly also filmed the video of the heinous act and uploaded it on a social media platform.”  However, the incident was highlighted in Rajsthan’s Bharatpur area when the victim filed a complaint against her husband and two other relatives. The victim’s complaint further added,  “Mt in-laws harassed me about dowry after my marriage in 2019.”  On the other hand, Rajasthan’s Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has claimed,  “We are devoted to women’s protection and security.”
