Why is KFC the only good and cost-effective fast food option in Pakistan?

There are a number of fast food options in Pakistan to choose from. Some of them include high end restaurants and cafes like McDonald’s, Domino’s, Burger King, Hardees and so on while there are some local restaurants like Johnny and Jugnu, Daily Deli, and others. However, the most common notion among most people is that no place can match the quality and cost effectiveness of a hearty meal from KFC. There can be a number of reasons for that. Firstly, in today’s rising inflation, it is one of the most cost friendly options out there that guarantees a filling experience. Places like McDonald’s and Burger King not only charge tax, but most of their menu options are on the higher side. A Grand chicken meal from McDonald’s costs around PKR 1400 without the tax while KFC leaves you satisfied within the PKR 1000 bracket.

Second comes the quantity. Us Pakistanis are all about the right quantity of food otherwise it is an underwhelming experience. KFC’s portion sizes are quite generous as compared to its competitors which makes your moneys worth. The variety of menu is also an important highlight of KFC. Offering a wide range of burgers, wraps, wings, rice and their famous fried chicken, KFC stands on top when it comes to menu options. KFC’s consistency in taste is also a major factor while we discuss it’s popularity. Their signature fried chicken has been tasting the same since our childhood and we’re all for it. There have been a number of upcoming local fast food chains as well with a similar theme as KFC. But sadly, they tend to struggle in the market due to KFC’s dominant presence. However, the choice of the “best” or “most cost-effective” fast food option is subjective and can vary based on individual preferences, location, and personal experiences.
