We have a number of tools that can be used if the Taliban does not remove restrictions on women

What happened: It is pertinent to mention that the Taliban-led Afghan government had announced that women in the country would cover their head and face with a veil, as this was noted to be among the latest restriction on Afghan women. Reuter’s report earlier this week also noted that the United States government has announced to increase pressure on the Taliban government in Afghanistan to take back these restrictions.  Details: The US State Department spokesperson Ned Price in a press release, said,  “We have addressed it directly with the Taliban. We have several tools that we are prepared to move forward with if we feel there won’t be reversed; these won’t be undone.”  It is pertinent to mention that the Taliban government had also announced a ban on girls’ education in the country, hinting at their previous rule policies.
