Warning shots fired by Russia at British destroyer in the Black Sea

What happened: Russian forces fired warning shots and dropped bombs to caution the British Royal Navy destroyer as they accuse the ship of entering Russian waters in the Black sea; a claim denied by the United Kingdom. Background: The incident took place off the coast of Cape Fiolent in Crimea. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense,” HMS Defender was given a preliminary warning that weapons would be used if the state borders of the Russian Federation were violated. It did not react to the warning”. The ministry further stated that the warning shots were fired by a border patrol ship while a SU-24 jet dropped four bombs in the HMS defender’s path, persuading the vessel to turn around.

However, the UK’s defense ministry has denied Russia’s account stating, “No warning shots have been fired at HMS Defender. The Royal Navy ship is conducting innocent passage through Ukrainian territorial waters in accordance with international law.” Click here to see more on Propergaanda.
