Vaccination certificate made mandatory for using public transport in Sindh

What happened: On Friday, NCOC and Sindh government prohibited air travel and several other facilities for unvaccinated people from 1st August onwards. People would need to show vaccination certificates to avail facilities such as travel on public transport and get treatment or major surgeries at hospitals. Details : The National Command and Opera­tion Centre (NCOC) and Sindh government on Friday imposed several restrictions on unvaccinated people to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Besides ban on air travel, other facilities have also been restricted to vaccinated people only, such as treatment or major surgeries at hospitals as well travel on public transport. “For medical services at both public and private hospitals, Covid-19 vaccination certificate is mandatory. For test and interviews for jobs, candidates should show their Covid-19 vaccination certificates. All public and private institutions would be responsible to check Covid-19 vaccination certificates,” statement issued by Sindh government said. However, Pakistan Medical Association-Sindh (PMA) has called the restrictions imposed by the provincial government “harsh,” as they consider it promote the business of fake Covid-19 vaccination cards.
