Turn off your lights, or don’t sleep; Study claims how even a little light can ruin your sleep

What happened:  Dr Michael Breus published research claiming that there are negative effects that can be caused due to sleeping with lights on or any other artificial light. It is pertinent to mention that nearly 60% of the people living in the US sleep while watching TV.  How does it have a negative effect?  A recent study claims,  “Nighttime light exposure makes it difficult for your brain to turn off and help you get the deep sleep you need to feel rested in the morning.”  At the same time, it highlights that  “without deep sleep stages, your sleep is of poorer quality, which can have some negative effects on your body and your brain.”  The negative effects:  To a great surprise, it has been noted to be bad for an individual’s mental health,  “it can make you moody, irritable, and has been linked to depression.”  At the same time, sleeping with lights on can also affect your weight, and you are more likely to get sick.
