A recent tweet by US President Donald Trump has been tagged with a fact-check label for the first time. As US President Trump tweeted: “There is NO WAY (ZERO!) that Mail-In Ballots will be anything less than substantially fraudulent.”
Twitter added a warning label under his post alongside a tweet. A blue exclamation mark under the tweet asks audiences to “get the facts about mail-in ballots”.
President Trump responded with a series of tweets; the first alleged the company had colluded in US Presidential Elections designated on November 3, 2020. Another accused the social media giant of “completely stifling free speech”. Brad Parscale, Trump’s Presidential Campaign manager also accused Twitter of “ partnering with biased fake news ‘ fact checkers.’
The move comes in response to Twitter updating its policies on warning labels earlier this month; it’s pledged to increase warning labels under misleading or false information. However, it had been delaying its steps tackling Trump’s tweets. This is the first time twitter has tagged one of President Trump’s tweet with a fact check label.
I very like this blog. Everything is cleared.
