Chief Minister Mahmood Khan chaired a meeting regarding the Transform Peshawar Plan at his house, saying that the government is determined to make Peshawar a vibrant city with improved quality of life The CM emphasised on improving infrastructure development of the provincial metropolis and also instructed concerned authorities to clear the land and other issues hindering the provision of utilities in Regi Model Town.
According to the CM, the government wants to see a modern infrastructure network and service delivery.
The meeting focused on key sectors like infrastructure development, traffic management, beautification, recreational facilities, improvement of health and education facilities, etc. A short term, mid term, and long term strategy will be adopted to implement the plan. The officials present were also briefed about new and ongoing ADP schemes along with distribution of expenditures made so far in different sectors this financial year. They were informed that development of surrounding areas of Ring Road from Pajagai to Warsak Road was being carried out under the schemes, totaling to Rs500 million out of which Rs60 million was allocated in the current Annual Development Programme. In another ADP scheme, the road from Mufti Mehmood Flyover to old Budhni bridge and ahead is being improved. The Chief Minister also brought the issue of traffic law enforcement and awareness to light.
“A focused approach towards key priorities would deliver rapid improvement,” he said.
