White House directs former lawyer not to testify
The White House has directed one of its former legal advisers not to testify to a congressional committee about special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation. The Democratic-led House Judiciary Committee has issued a legal order for Donald McGahn to appear on Tuesday. A member of the committee said an impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump would be warranted if Mr McGahn does not testify. Mr McGahn told Mr Mueller that Mr Trump repeatedly tried to thwart his inquiry. Niki Lauda, Austrian Formula 1 legend, has died at 70
Three-time Formula 1 world champion Niki Lauda has died at the age of 70, his family says, nine months after undergoing a lung transplant. The legendary Austrian took the title for Ferrari in 1975 and 1977 and McLaren in 1984. For many, he will be remembered for his remarkable recovery and return to racing after being badly burned in a crash in the 1976 German Grand Prix. “[He was] a role model and a benchmark for all of us,” his family said.

After losing its Android license, Huawei is reportedly losing support from the major chipmakers as well. As reported by Bloomberg, manufacturers including Intel Corp., Qualcomm Inc., and Broadcom Inc. have told their employees that they will not supply their components to Huawei until further notice. The suspension from the chipmakers came right after Google cut off Android’s license to Huawei, following an executive order from the Trump administration prohibiting US organizations from using telecommunications equipment manufactured by the companies which pose a security risk to the country.
