During a chat session with Neha Dhupia on her show BFFs with Vogue season 3, Shahid opened up about his marriage and that it’s not all rainbows and butterflies — in fact the couple does have times when they fight and don’t speak for as long as two weeks.
“I get flustered when I and Mira have a fight,” he said. “That really bothers me and it takes me time to come out of it. I do lose my cool on a lot of things but no one gets to know because I control it and move on.” However, he added that they “don’t fight much.”
He was laid to rest in the city’s Mohammad Shah graveyard near Anda Mor. It’s been seven years since and reports have been pouring in about the sorry state in which his gravesite now stands. It is sad and dispiriting for music lovers all around the world.
Khan Sahib (as he was fondly known in showbiz circles) had become a bit of an icon in the earlier phase of his career. His classically trained voice and his remarkable understanding of not just the meaning but usage of words/lyrics had made him a (musical) force to reckon with in his thirties.
The novel, currently untitled, is scheduled for release on May 19, 2020. Collins said in a statement Monday that she would go back to the years following the so-called “Dark Days,” the failed rebellion in Panem. Collins set the “Hunger Games” books in a post-apocalyptic dystopia where young people must fight and kill each other, on live television.
“With this book, I wanted to explore the state of nature, who we are, and what we perceive is required for our survival,” she said. “The reconstruction period 10 years after the war, commonly referred to as the Dark Days — as the country of Panem struggles back to its feet — provides fertile ground for characters to grapple with these questions and thereby define their views of humanity.”
She posted on Instagram that she will not longer entertain clients who ask her to ‘whiten up’ for shoots. Can we just say #DarkAndProud?
“No, I’m not a pearlescent white-skinned girl, I’m dusky and bronze. To all the clients who book me for shoots and then expect me to douse myself in lighter makeup to make me look ‘acceptable for lawn’, I’d rather you not book me at all,” she wrote.
Kaleem added. “My skin colour defines me, it’s who I am, so if you feel like you need to whiten me up so that I match the ‘requirements of the brief, or the shoot’ or ‘because Lahoris have issues with dark models for summer lawn’ or whatever, please don’t consider me for your shoots.”
Kaleem didn’t hold herself back to call out the clients who’d rather opt for a ‘pretty’ face than hire a dark model.
Madonna has nearly 14 million Instagram followers (and she has 2.5 million followers on Twitter), but she stated that: “You get caught up in comparing yourself to others. I think Instagram is made to make you feel bad. People are really a slave to winning people’s approvals.”

The Bollywood superstar said in his statement, “The Lion King is that one movie that my entire family loves the most and it holds a very special place in our hearts. The head of Studio Entertainment, Disney India, Bikram Duggal, said “The Lion King is a classic that epitomizes Disney’s prowess of bringing heartwarming stories that are timeless and transcend generations. Now with the re-imagined version, our aim is to reach out to a wider audience; introducing the tale about a pride of lions to a whole new generation of audiences while forging a deeper connect with existing fans. We cannot imagine having a better voice cast than Shah Rukh Khan and his son Aryan to bring the characters of Mufasa and Simba to life in Hindi”.

Producer Imran Kazmi says like all the films made by his usual team, this one will come with “some subliinal messages”.
“Like all our films, we will delicately touch on a social message. In Siyaah, we touched on black magic, in Janaan we talked about pedophilia, in Parchi we pushed for a female protagonist. In Heer Maan Ja, we will lightly discuss honour killing… and how in our society women are still suppressed in some households.”
Heer Maan Ja will follow how the life of Heer, a young woman from a slightly conservative household, intersects with Kabir’s, a passionate architect who only has skyscrappers on his mind. However, when the two characters meet, their lives take an unexpected turn. We’ll have to watch the film to find out what that was!

Dutta said, “I have also mentioned this earlier in an interview that our witnesses have been getting threat calls, and they are being intimidated and pressured in every way so that they do not record their statements with the police. We have 10 witnesses, out of which only one-and-a-half statements have been recorded. The others have not even come forward, as they have got threat calls.”

We have to say though, no matter what the trolls throw at him, Nasir always seems to come out on top whether it’s his unshakable sense of self or his savage comebacks.
He says he doesn’t need an English teacher because the folks on Twitter and Facebook are always there to correct his grammar or spell-check on his behalf. We’re guessing this is about his tweet in which he’s telling people to “follow him as soon ass possible” (clearly a typo!).

While appearing on Good Morning Britain, Faryal Makhdoom was of the opinion that stay-at-home mothers (or as she describes them: “CEO of the house”) should receive a salary.
“We’re not just looking after our children but the entire house. A CEO of the house that’s not getting paid. It’s laundry, cooking, cleaning, looking after your children, and I think when you put it all together, we should get paid more than a surgeon or a lawyer, it adds up to £100k a year, more than that,” she shared in conversation with hosts, Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway.
We feel like Makhdoom does make a fair point about the unpaid labour that women do across the globe but especially in desi households. Our society thinks household chores are the responsibility of women alone. These tasks include childcare, cooking, cleaning, domestic upkeep, the list goes on. And don’t even get us started on the emotional labour of keeping a family together.

And we were all, ‘Harvey gets to do that because he’s got so much power and he’s so successful and his movies do so well and everybody wants to work with him, so you have to put up with it.’ So that was it.
“So when it happened [the sexual assault allegations], I was really like, ‘Finally.’ I wasn’t cheering from the rafters because I’m never going to cheer for someone’s demise. “The chicken acted really well,” said Mohsin and cracked up.

Sporting a gray suit and glasses, Kevin Spacey appeared Monday at a Massachusetts courthouse where a judge is set to hold a hearing in the case accusing the disgraced actor of groping a young man at a Nantucket bar in 2016.
Spacey’s appearance comes somewhat as a surprise as he was not required to attend the hearing and has stayed away from the courthouse except for a brief hearing in January, which he also tried to avoid.
The 59-year-old former House of Cards actor, who has pleaded not guilty to a charge of indecent assault and battery, did not comment as he walked in with his lawyers. Spacey faces up to 2 years in jail if convicted.
A day earlier, TV anchor Sami Abraham posted a video on social media in which he alleged that a plot to oust Imran Khan and to weaken the Pakistan Army was being orchestrated.
Ibrahim alleged that number of players were bringing together a number of factors in order to achieve the goal of this plot, implying that an elaborate conspiracy against the country’s leadership was in the works.
Ibrahim further alleged that even some from within the PTI were a part of this so-called plot and without offering any concrete proof to support his accusation, implicated Fawad Chaudhry in the video.

“I could only establish my presence through my acting and I couldn’t have done that alone had I not had her support. She taught me in every scene and each step [with] her professionalism and experience in over 100 films. She’s so supportive and down to earth and I never knew she was going to be like this.”

On Friday night, the pair did the same, and it would not be wrong to claim that each passing year their performance seems to outdo their previous stints on the Napa platform.

After 2017’s Coco, Pixar is ready for a new original story.
Disney dropped a trailer for upcoming film Onward and it’s an interesting take on a magical world… without any magic.
Tom Holland and Chris Pratt play brother elves in a world that has moved from magic to technology, making it a fun take on the evolution of mankind – actually magic-kind. The two previously worked together in Avengers. Who’d have thought the two would be the next Disney duo?
Pixar has described the plot of the film as “two teenage elf brothers [who] embark on an extraordinary quest to discover if there is still a little magic left out there in the hopes of spending time with their dead father.”

The two-minute film stops short of disclosing Iqbal’s unfortunate fate. After he reportedly toured the world where he raised awareness about the plight of bonded labourers, Iqbal was fatally shot at the age of 12 during a visit to his hometown. The reasons behind his murder are disputed.

As I realised for the second time this month, it’s tough to book an online ride during Ramazan. The long wait wasn’t awkward at Wajahat Rauf’s house. The director of the upcoming romance-comedy-drama film (or as he calls it, “a family film”) was good company.
Rauf’s carefree, candid, all-accepting attitude is refreshing, and a bit infectious, as we talk about his upcoming film Chhalawa — an Eidul Fitr release that may seem quite familiar; but that, if you ask him, is a good thing, although he does tell you, in the subtlest manner possible, to reserve the final opinion until the film comes out.
An Eveready and Hum Films’ release, Chhalawa seems like a stereotypical film about a full-of-himself hero waltzing into a wedding to whisk away the bride-to-be. Sounds familiar, doesn’t it?
