What happened: In a rather unusual case, the New York doctors discovered a tooth growing inside a man’s nose when he went to a clinic for a check-up regarding his breathing problems. The 38 year old NewYorker was facing breathing problems for a few years and finally decided to visit the doctors, revealing that his bone and cartilage dividing the nasal cavity of the nose were displaced. Details: NDTV quoted the development as, “The doctors said that 38 year old patient had a calcified obstruction towards the back of the septum and every examination revealed something strange and the CT scan took everyone by surprise.” Subsequently, the New York doctors stated that there was a tooth growing inside the nasal cavity as the New England Journal of Medicine quotes, “A hard, non-tender, white mass was observed in the floor of the right nostril.” More: Later, the 38 year old patient went through surgery and the New York doctors were able to remove the tooth. No complications were reported in the patient, but the NEJM quoted, “At follow-up three months after surgery, the patient’s symptoms of nasal obstruction had resolved.” Furthermore, no difficulty in breathing was reported by the patient later.
