To curb economic crisis, Pakistan reduces work days and ‘no weddings after 10 pm’ 

What happened:  Currently, Pakistan is facing an economic crisis of its own kind, as the Shehbaz Sharif-led government has imposed sanctions on various things and events, the latest one being the ban on weddings after 10 pm. Previously, the federal government had hinted at a 6-week long working plan but now reverted to a 3-day work week, also cutting down on the fuel quotas assigned to government employees.  Details:  The recent media reports suggest that the federal government has now banned weddings after 10 pm in Islamabad, and the relevant authorities have been informed in this regard. At the same time, this development only pertains to Islamabad currently, as Bloomberg quoted,  “a raft of energy-saving measures aimed at easing fuel shortages that have triggered blackouts.”
