Time to buy an Android? WhatsApp to stop working on selected iPhones

What happened: From October 24, 2022, WhatsApp announced that they had dropped the support for two versions of iOS, specifically iOS 10 and iOS 11. The information was gathered via WABetaInfo, a considered reliable source of information for all things related to WhatsApp. Which iPhones won’t have WhatsApp? Only iPhone 5 and iPhone 5c would not be compatible work with WhatsApp, as other iPhone users with more recent handsets will need an update to iOS 12 or later to use the messaging app still. WABetaInfo quotes,  “Update to the latest version of iOS to continue using WhatsApp. WhatsApp will stop supporting this version of iOS after October 24 2022.”
