Three cafes shut in Iran due to allowing female visitors without veil

What happened:  Three cafes in Iran’s Qom were shut down by the authorities due to violations which included women visiting the cafes not wearing veils. It is pertinent to mention that Iranian law instructs women to cover their bodies with loose clothing and  veil their heads in public.  Details:  The statement from Iran’s Revolutionary Guards was published in Hamshari,  “Three coffee shops were closed in Qom due to numerous violations, including women’s lack of veil and other issues.”  Subsequently, the cafe owners were taken into custody.  What you need to know:  At the same time, RadioFreeEuropeRadioLiberty quotes,  “Under Islamic Law enforced in Iran since the 1979 revolution, women must wear a hijab that covers the head and neck while concealing their hair.”  It was further quoted,  “Many have pushed the boundaries over the years by allowing their head coverings to slide back and reveal more hair, especially in Tehran and other major cities.”
