These rappers from Khairpur are here to drop some sick lines in Sindhi!

What happened:  ProperGaanda recently reached out to two aspiring rappers currently studying at FCCU Lahore to learn more about their story, as they aim to highlight their far-flung area of Khairpur Mir through their raps. Arslan Ali (@arrsuu) and Arsal Abbas (@arsalonthegram), belonging to Khairpur Mir, in an exclusive conversation with ProperGaanda, said,  “Music has always been the real deal.”  In conversation with Arsalan:   While, talking to the aspiring rapper from Sindh, he said,  “Music might just be a coping mechanism for me, but you can call it whatever you want.”  However, he highlighted that his family recognizes his talent and arts as he said,  “I had a thing for singing and songwriting since my early years.”  To my surprise, parents often discourage children from pursuing this side. Still, Arsalan said,  “Most of the credit goes to my parents as that developmental process was never bothered by them like it normally would in every other household.”  The aim for the rappers from Sindh:  Arsalan said,  “It doesn’t matter if I make it big or not, I will be making music no matter what, and that is what keeps me going.”  Talking about the area they come from, he said,  “It is not a big town, and people don’t know the importance of music, but in a bid to highlight the problems, we came up with the raps.”  The criticism at an early stage:  In Pakistan, it is pertinent to mention that almost everyone faces criticism and as Arsalan said,  “As an artist in Pakistan, you face a lot of criticism and the sad part is from your friends and the closest friends who during the process of your growth don’t realize that it is a long journey.”  What the future holds:  As stated by Arsalan,  “I am working hard and making music; I am a verified artist on Spotify; you can check Arsal and me out on these links; Most of my songs are in Sindhi, but in future Arsal and I are working on some sick Urdu rap releases stay tuned!”
