The NSC claims, “There was no conspiracy to topple the Imran Khan government”

What happened: The National Security Committee on April 22 said that  there was “No foreign conspiracy to topple Imran Khan-led government,”  according to Dawn’s latest report. Dawn further quoted the statement,  “The NSC discussed the telegram received from the Pakistan Embassy in Washington. Pakistan’s former ambassador to the US briefed the committee on the context and content of his telegram.”  Details: The National Security Committee meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. It was attended by different dignitaries, including Pakistan’s former ambassador to the US, Asad Majeed, the defence minister and services chiefs. Subsequently, Dawn quoted th details as,  “NSC examined the contents of communication shared by the ambassadors and reaffirmed the decision of the last NSC meetings,”  concludes the statement by noting,  “there has been no foreign conspiracy.”
