What happened: Generation Z, born between 1997 and 2012, is known as Gen Z. A recent research by Meta disclosed that Gen Z interacted more with products promoted by celebrities and social media influencers. A local Pakistani publication reported, “Social media more than a picture uploading platforms. Gen Z craves a genuine engagement with the brands they adore. 41% of Gen Zers surveyed stated they feel more personally connected when brands share content that makes them feel like they are a member of the brand’s group.” Details: According to the Meta study, 29% of the population feel a stronger bond to businesses that provide an inside glimpse into their activities. Whereas, another survey revealed that the bond between social media users and brands grows once any influencer and celebrity promotes it, “79% of Gen Zers have made a purchase as a result of watching a creator’s content. Influencers let customer feels more attached and satisfied with the businesses, products, and services they offer.”
