Study claims: Less meat and dairy products could reduce global warming by 80% 

What happened:   A study from a team of Finnish researchers at the University of Helsinki claimed that replacing meat and dairy consumption with vegetable or insect-based protein and  cultured  milk can reduce global warming, land usage, and water by more than 80%. Furthermore, the study highlighted those optimal dietary combinations to meet the nutritional needs could also help minimize the potential global warming, apart from the computer modeling.  Details: At the same time, ARY News quoted the study as,  “If people replace meat and dairy products with future foods such as making lab-made meat, vegetable-based proteins,”  it could drastically minimize all the adverse environmental effects. Whereas, the researchers at the University of Helsinki claimed,  “Future foods will not only cut down on global warming but will also provide adequate nutritional benefits to the consumers.”  More: Apart from the environmental benefits, such foods may also provide health benefits, and  “the usage of cultured milk and insect meal and mycoprotein would help.”
