Skardu Airport to handle its first-ever international flight on May 13

What happened: The Skardu airport, which is located in one of Pakistan’s most picturesque locations among the mountains in the north, is set to handle its first international flight after renovation. The Skardu Airport was previously being renovated to handle international flights, and now according to CAA’s letter, it will host a chartered flight from Munich, Germany, on May 13, 2022.  Details: Mashable quoted a letter from Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Administration, stating that an international chartered flight would arrive in Skardu from Munich, Germany and depart from Skardu Airport on May 16, 2022, for Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. The development was further quoted,  “The CAA has urged that all responsible departments and institutions complete/ furnish all essential arrangements and paperwork for the seamless conduct of the first-ever international flight to the lovely city.”
