Sheikh Rasheed, Federal Minister for Railways, likened the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javaid Bajwa’s qualities to that of former president Gen Zia-ul-Haq.
During an interview with journalists Ajmal Jami and Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami on their show Nuqta-e-Nazar, the Federal Minister for Railways compared COAS Bajwa with the former military dictator. “Yes, I think Gen Bajwa has similar qualities of Gen Zia-ul-Haq,” he claimed in a response to Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami’s question.
Earlier in May, Sheikh Rasheed alleged that the Prime Minister acted upon the Pakistani army’s word. During an interview with journalist Fareeha Idrees, the Minister claimed, “I want to remove everyone’s misconceptions that there is any differences between PM Imran and Pakistan military. They are on the same page. The prime minster agrees to whatever the army says.” He added that army was apparently backing the Prime Minister and ruling party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI): “PM Imran and army are on same line and length.”
I very like this blog. Everything is cleared.
