Shan Masood makes history by becoming the first batter to hit consecutive double centuries in County

What happened: The 32-year-old Pakistani batter entered the record books while representing the English County Derbyshire and became the first-ever Pakistani to score two back-to-back double centuries in the county championship. The Pakistani opener, while representing Derbyshire, played a knock of 219 off 268 against Leicestershire to score his second consecutive double-century. Record check:   Shan Masood is the first Pakistani batter to score two consecutive double centuries in two innings in the English County championship. Shan Masood is the second Pakistani batter to score consecutive double centuries after Arshad Parvez, who scored 243 vs Baluchistan in 1978’s BCCP Patron’s Trophy. Previously, it is pertinent to mention that Shan Masood was not considered for the Test matches against the Aussies, but he has proven his merit by recent performances at the English County.
