Season 8 of Game of Thrones is Coming!

HBO finally confirmed on Tuesday over social media that the eighth and final season of the high-fantasy drama series ‘Game of Thrones’, will debut in April 2019 which will include six lengthy episodes, however no official date has been released yet. Fans were already prepared for this in the summer when the network’s president Casey Bloys stated that the season will be released some time next year in the first half. To launch the April premiere, the network reused clips from previous episodes which included Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and others, followed by an ominous, yet familiar, voiceover by Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) in which she’s heard saying: “When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die.” As soon as the voiceover halts, dramatic text flashes swiftly between fast-moving clips, with Ramin djawadi’s majestic orchestral “light of the seven” playing as the background score: “Every battle. Every betrayal. Every risk. Every fight. Every sacrifice. Every death. All #ForTheThrone.” A teaser trailer with fresh new sequences has yet to be released and the expected Season’s imagery has been kept tightly undercover. Filming for Season 8 began in October 2017 and wrapped 10 months later. We’re still unsure as to why HBO hasn’t released an official specific date yet. The official twitter account of Game of Thrones promoted the upcoming season tremendously on Tuesday by posting multiple images with hashtags. Season 8 opens at Winterfell, with Daenerys and her armed force getting ready for the inescapable intrusion of the Army of the Dead. Emilia Clarke revealed that this is the most intense season yet and will definitely meet everyone’s expectation.
