Details : Saudi Arabia is preparing to host the world’s largest camel festival for the sixth year in a row, attracting camel owners from all over the world. According to SPA, the 40-day camel festival will begin on December 1 in Riyadh, bringing together camel owners from the Gulf, the United States, France, Russia, and the Kingdom. What is it about : The Saudi Camel Club organises the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival, an annual worldwide cultural, economic, sporting, and entertainment event.
This year’s celebration, which will take place in a region of 32 square kilometres north of Riyadh, is expected to attract around 33,000 camel owners. The carnival attracts tourists from all around the world, with over 100,000 visitors per day. More : The festival has previously included events such as camel racing, best-looking camel prizes, auctions, and camel training. Princess Sirene bint Abdulrahman, the festival’s first Saudi female contestant, competed in 2019.
