Details: Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Pakistan has handed over two mosques, the King Abdul Aziz Mosque in Mansehra, and the King Fahd Mosque in Muzaffarabad. The one Mosque in Mansehra that has been handed over as gifts can accommodate more than ten thousand people. While the King Fahd Mosque in Muzaffarabad can accommodate nearly 6000 worshippers at a time. Also: The Saudi ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki is quoted by a publication saying “These two holy mosques, one in Mansehra and other in Muzaffarabad, were built by the government of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a gift to the people of Pakistan.” Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki is further quoted “Both countries enjoy historical and deep relations with economic, military and cultural cooperation. These mosques also showed the depth of religious and cultural ties.” What else: The two Mosques have spacious courtyards along with prominent and distinct designs. Both the Mosques are considered to have resemblance with the Grand Mosque in Makkah and Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah. At the same time, Saudi Arabia’s ambassador has hinted at having strong and prosperous ties with Pakistan. Whereas, the Religious Affairs Minister, Noor ul Haq Qadri is quoted by a publication saying, “On behalf of the government and the people of Pakistan. I am thankful for this kind act of the Saudi leadership.”
