RJ Sophie’s new creative space, the S Studio, has everything a content curator could want

RJ Sophie is a household name when it comes to radio in Pakistan. In 2019, Forbes magazine featured Sophiya Anjam along with Fizza Aslam from FM 89 as the ‘The Two Mavens Of Pakistani Radio’. Indeed, Sophie has had an illustrious career as one of Pakistan’s most beloved RJs since she joined FM 91 back in 2006; her enthusiasm could be heard every weekday over the radio as she played the latests hits, conversed with listeners and made the rush hour drive not only bearable but enjoyable. While Anjam is well known as RJ Sophie, she has also been FM 91’s marketing head, hosted a plethora of events around the country and launched her own Youtube channel, The S Stories, in 2018.

Anjam celebrates with friends as the Studio launches

The S Studio is the latest endeavour taken on by Anjam, a creative hub in Lahore’s Defence area. Given Anjam’s extensive experience as an RJ, the studio is fully equipped with audio facilities including radio spots and hubs for dubbing, recording, audio mixing & podcasts. Stepping outside the audiophile arena, the S Studio – with a capacity of 40 to 50 people – is completely set up to host courses, conferences, private parties, gigs, digital events, cooking shows & still shoots.

But that’s not all, Anjam is also set to launch a special Masterclass Series featuring different experts every month.

The S Studio launched officially on Monday, 28th December in Phase 5, DHA, with live performances by Nouman Javed, Faiza Mujahid, Umer Saud from Quadrum & his talented 15-year-old son Yahya, who plays the electric guitar. PR maven Rubia Moghees and her team handled the launch event while making sure all SOPs were being followed keeping in mind the COVID-19 situation; the curated guest list featured singers, musicians, journalists and entrepreneurs who celebrated Anjam’s latest endeavour with Coffee Planet Pakistan on board as the giveaway partner.
