‘Rising political temperature’ Aleem Khan joins the JKT group

What happened: On March 7, the former minister from Punjab and PTI member Abdul Aleem Khan met the ‘estranged’ leader Jahangir Khan Tareen at his residence in Lahore to announce his inclusion in the JKT group. 24 News reported the development as,  “Aleem Khan said that he wanted to unite all the annoyed groups of the PTI who have paid their services and struggled for the slogan of Naya Pakistan in the past but ignored.”  Details: At the same time, Aleem Khan’s inclusion in the JKT group has met with a severe backlash from other PTI members. It is pertinent to mention that the move by Aleem Khan comes at a time when the Opposition has proposed a no-trust movement against Prime Minister Imran Khan. However, on March 7, Jahangir Khan Tareen in London attended the meeting via video link. More: At the same time, BOL News reported the development as,  “This is a major blow for the PTI government as the opposition is eyeing to gain numbers to make another attempt against PM Khan.”
