Reports claim, “Imran Khan directed spokesperson to say that there is no inflation in Pakistan”

What happened: On January 3 PM Imran Khan called a meeting of government spokesperson to discuss the media strategy. The News & Naya Daur’s report disclosed that Imran Khan directed the spokespersons to inform the masses that there is no inflation in the country. At the same time, the premier is quoted saying,  “We had inherited a ruined economy.”  Details: Reportedly, Imran Khan was satisfied with the country’s economy and the performance of the government’s economic team. During the meeting, Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin also said,  “The inflation dropped in December compared to the month of November and it is likely to reduce further in the next month.”  However, Imran Khan also addressed the minister as a publication quotes him,  “You say the economic conditions are better while the opposition criticizes the government.”  Also:   Prime Minister Imran Khan criticized the previous governments’ performance and said,  “We had got a ruined economy which has considerably improved in our government, let the opposition not exploit the situation in any way.”  While advising the spokespersons, the premier said,  “Tell the people the facts and present a factual picture before them.”
