Rainbow-colored toys seized by Saudi authorities for ‘promoting homosexuality’

What happened:  The Saudi government officials have initiated a crackdown on the  rainbow-colored  toys and multi-colored clothes from the shops in Kingdom’s capital, Riyadh. The Saudi state-run TV channel  “Al-Ekhbariya”  reported,  “The items promote homosexuality.”  Details:  At the same time, the Saudi Ministry of Commerce is quoted by CNN,  “We are having to look out for slogans that violate the rules of Islam and public morals like promoting homosexuality colors, targeting the young generation.”  However, it is pertinent to mention that publications quoted  homosexuality as illegal in Saudi Arabia ,  “which adheres to a strict interpretation of Sharia law.”  More:  Later, in Riyadh over the weekend, the Saudi officials were seen in children’s shops  “with several toys taken from the shelves and piled in a heap on the floor.”  However, it is pertinent to mention that this is not the first time a Middle East country has conducted such an operation as previously, Qatar had done something similar too.
