What happened: Barrister Ahmad Pansota (@muhammad_ahmad_pansota) has served a legal notice to @therealpcb’s chairman Ramiz Raja for transferring broadcasting rights of the national team series to other channels. Ahmad Pansota has sent the legal notice on behalf of PTV and deemed it is an illegal move by PCB.
Details: It is pertinent to know, on the 16th of September 2020, PTV and PCB signed the Broadcasting Agreement between Vision Corporation, and it was signed by PCB too. According to Barrister Ahmad Pansota, the agreement was finished by PCB without informing, and the case is pending at LHC. At the same time, LHC’s Justice Risal Hassan also rejected PCB’s request after challenging their move at the court. Whereas, the next hearing is scheduled for the 22nd of December. As per the LHC’s restraining order, PCB can not enter into any contract for broadcasting, which would be considered contempt of court, reports suggest.
Also: Subsequently, Barrister Ahmad Pansota, on the 6th of December has sent a legal notice to Ramiz Raja on behalf of PTV. The legal notice’s conclusion read, “Your failure to comply with the demand… shall be constructed as your inability and unwillingness..”
