PTV journalist sacked for being part of the delegation visiting Israel 

What happened: Pakistan’s information minister Marriyum Aurangzeb in a presser stated that the government had sacked Ahmed Quraishi for travelling to Israel as part of the delegation comprising Pakistani Americans. Ahmed Qureshi, whose tweets have also received backlash, is now fired from PTV, as claimed by Marriyum Aurangzeb. Details: Whereas, the information ministry claimed,  “The anchorperson went on a personal trip to Israel, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has categorically rejected the notion of any delegation from Pakistan visiting Israel.”  It is pertinent to mention that the Foreign office spokesperson had claimed that the trip to Israel was not organised by Pakistan but by a foreign NGO.  What you need to know: However, Mariyum Aurangzeb further clarified and said,  “There has been no change in Pakistan’s policy in support of Palestine. Our country’s policy is clear and in accordance with Quad-e-Azam. No policy or action can be taken against the wishes of people in Pakistan.”
