The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has announced that the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will table a bill in the National Assembly for the creation of the South Punjab province.
The foreign minister made the announcement during a press conference after attending a meeting regarding South Punjab chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The minister said that ruling party will start reaching out to political parties in this regard asking for their support in making the process happen.
The meeting was attended my Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Jahangir Tareen, Khusro Bakhtiar, Firdous Ashiq Awan Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and other lawmakers of the region.
