Private hospitals in Punjab to hire 25,000 more doctors in 2022

What happened: The provincial health minister, Dr. Yasmin Rashid, on January 2, announced that Punjab’s health department would hire 25,000 more doctors in 2022 as more than 100 health facilities officially registered themselves with the health department. At the same time, she talked about the Naya Pakistan Sehat Card and stated that a mobile application provides necessary information about the health facility. What else: During the press conference on Sunday, Dr. Yasmin Rashid said,  “133 hospitals have been added to the list of health facilities alone from Lahore in order to facilitate the Sehat Card holders.”  At the same time, the provincial minister talked about the rapidly spreading Omicron variant and urged the citizens to take proper precautions. As the minister said,  “After a decline in Covid cases, citizens have been avoiding face masks. The Omicron variant is surging globally and is easily transmissible than other variants.”
