Prime Minister Imran Khan, while talking to the high panel on financial accountability, transparency, and Integrity, urged the international community to take adequate steps to stop the illicit flow of money.
He said that the United Assembly has to commit to stop the illegal transfer of money, pointing out how the equitable distribution of capital is terrible in the current global system.
The Prime Minister emphasized the need for laws regarding the stolen assets of developing countries. He also called out multinational companies for tax evasions and making unfair investment agreements.
While speaking on white-collar crimes, he said that it consumes “trillions of dollars from developing countries,” every year.
The Prime Minister also discussed the coronavirus pandemic, shedding light on how the economic growth factor had declined and how his government took various steps to help those who were hit the hardest by the pandemic.
