Prime Minister Imran Khan directed authorities to visit the site of the anti-government Azadi March to see what aid they could provide the activists following a major temperature drop in the capital
On Tuesday, unexpected rain in the capital caused a drop in temperature leaving many participants of Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s Azadi March cold, sick and ill-prepared for the chilly weather. After photos emerged online of protestors sleeping in the cold and rain, the Prime Minister issued a statement on Twitter saying he had asked the Capital Development Authority chairman to visit the site of the protest and determine what assistance can be provided for the participants.
I have directed the CDA Chairman to immediately visit the dharna site to assess what relief and assistance can be provided to the dharna participants with the onset of rain and changing weather conditions.
