A patisserie is a French word that refers to a bakery or pastry shop that specializes in making and selling a variety of sweet baked goods and desserts, such as cakes, pastries, tarts, macarons, croissants, and other sweet treats. They are often known for their artistic and sophisticated approach to baking and are highly regarded in the culinary world. Recently, I visited Pink Pistachio Cafe and Patisserie in DHA Phase 6, Fairways Commercial, Lahore. The cafe is located adjacent to the DHA Raya Golf Course offering immaculate, lush green views. The ambiance was perfect as well as the staff. At first, I was greatly impressed by the overall interior design of the cafe with its use of fancy mirrors, delicate furniture as well as cute hanging lights.

My first glance at the menu left a great impression since the dishes were unique and sounded amazing. But looking at how spectacular the desserts on display were, I couldn’t resist and dove straight into their world of pastries. It was truly a work of art and I was impressed greatly, just by looking at it. We ordered the Victoria Sponge Pastry, Lotus Cheesecake as well as a Kiwi Custard Tart.

The Victoria Sponge had a soft, pillowing layer of sponge cake, tart strawberry jelly, and some fluffy whipped cream, dusted with powdered sugar. The cake gave some real British food vibes. Kiwi tart had a crumbly shortcrust pastry with a silky, smooth custard, topped with freshly glazed kiwis. However, the star of the show was definitely the Lotus Cheesecake. It had a buttery, graham cracker crust and a rich, decadent cheesecake filling. It wasn’t too sweet and had a good biscoff flavor. The cheesecake paired perfectly with a cup of their hot Hazelnut Latte.

All in all, Pink Pistachio receives 4.5/5 stars from me due to their excellent service, premium quality desserts as well as the perfect ambiance. Do visit them and let us know what you think.
