What happened: The president of Pakistan, Arif Alvi, has inaugurated the first-ever National Cyber Security academy at Air University in Islamabad. The academy has been made after joint efforts by the Air force and HEC of Pakistan. According to Arif Alvi, cyber security is one of the most concerning threats to national security. At the International Conference on Cyber Warfare and Security, Arif Alvi said, “It is time for Pakistan to secure its boundaries..” Details: Pakistan’s president claimed that solid cyber security plays a vital role in developing and the country’s economic prosperity. Arif Alvi also said that cyber threats and crimes could lead to more exponential threats harming national security.
Also: The National Cyber Security Academy will aim to deliver intellectual knowledge about cyber security. At the same time, the academy would provide resources to train people in becoming cyber experts. Eventually, the academy aims to help the federal government in demolishing the cyber threats to Pakistan.
