During the third ongoing wave of Covid-19, Pakistan’s positivity rate has spiked up to 7.8% on Thursday, according to the daily stats released by National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC). Past 24 hours: 44,377 tests were done, out of which 3,495 new coronavirus cases were reported which takes the number of active coronavirus patients in the country to 24,592 as of today. Moreover, 61 people have succumbed to the virus during the past 24 hours taking the death tally to 13,717.

Health experts have urged the people to strictly practice standard operating procedures (Sop)s in order to curb the spread of virus while Covid-19 restrictions have been re-imposed in the country.
