While Captain Sarfraz has been dealing with the brunt of all the hate after Pakistan’s inconsistent performance at the ICC World Cup, one person took it too far by harassing him, all the while recording it.
This asshole should be reported to the UK police for harassment pic.twitter.com/DhjUkB8pA0

Last night a video began circulating on social media that showed Sarfaraz Ahmed being verbally mocked and bullied while being followed by a man in what appears to be a shopping mall in the UK. In the video the man insults Sarfaraz Ahmed, asking him why he’s became fat, like a pig. The man continues to follow him as Sarfaraz walks away. The worst part is that Sarfaraz Ahmed was with his child at the time This type of harrasment and bullying, one that targets people when their already the butt of everyone’s joke, is pretty unacceptable. Luckily for us, Pakistani social media agreed, with #Pakistanlovessarfaraz and #westandwithsarfaraz trending all over soical media.

The alleged harasser took to social media to apologize for his behavior
He said that he said sorry to Sarfaraz after he started to become angry with his behavior and deleted the video. He continues to apologize to anyone offended and to said that he doesn’t know how the video got uploaded. He said he didn’t know Sarfaraz was with his child(that’s unbelievable) and that he was a hafiz-e-quran. He goes on to say that he is sorry for his actions and didn’t think the consequences would be that bad. Stories like this remind us of how easy it is to get onto a bandwagon, and we must be able to control ourselves from being part of this mob mentality. While the Pakistani’s team performance hasn’t been the best, we shouldn’t forget that these players are still humans.
