Pakistani woman caught smuggling $65,000 via Karachi airport to Doha

What happened: On April 21, the Pakistan Customs Officials apprehended a woman passenger for allegedly smuggling more than allowed foreign currency to another country. A local publication reported,  “Approximately 12 million rupees were recovered from the baggage of a”  Doha-bound passenger at the Jinnah International Airport.  Details: The Pakistan Custom Officials recovered the amount from the Doha-bound female passenger; however, the passenger’s identity was not disclosed. Later, the woman passenger was allowed to travel after the customs officials seized the excessive foreign currency. What else: Earlier in January, the Pakistan Customs, alongside the Airport Security Force, arrested two Dubai-bound siblings as they seized 616,000 Euros from the siblings at the Jinnah International Airport.
